The Independent Constitutionalist

Reform Agenda

1)

Partisan loyalty is a mind-disease. One must insist that candidates have enough backbone to vote their conscience, not just the will of party leadership. We don’t elect our representatives to turn in their voting card to party leadership — we elect them to do their job. The Independent Constitutionalist supports independent minds of either party with intellect and backbone.

2)

Gerrymandering political district boundaries for partisan gain is an objective display of partisan greed and arrogance that can deadlock* the nation, and it dishonors the sacrifice men have made before us to form this Republic. Naturally, political district boundaries used for political representation should be based on community-of-interest demographics. Obviously, the Constitution of the United States must be amended to reflect this requirement.

Footnote

“Deadlock” because making gerrymandered political seats safe also makes partisan corruption safe, and hinders the power of the people to exact accountability for corruption or disloyalty to the common good. This is taken as self-evident.
